Minister, Melrose Unitarian Universalist Church, Melrose, MA, August 2018-present

Solo pastor to congregation of about 140 members. Responsible for worship-leading, pastoral care, staff supervision and interfaith outreach, plus working collaboratively with Board and volunteers on administration, budgeting, adult spiritual development and social justice programs. Co-led a two-year mission/vision process leading up to governance reform and a capital campaign. Helped to found and encourage thriving social justice teams working on anti-racism, immigration support, and climate justice.  Member of Bishop Barber’s national Prophetic Council, Boston Reparations Group, Rename Faneuil Hall project, and Extinction Rebellion climate protest group.

Cover Supervisor, Guidance Mentor, Ysgol Aberconwy, Conwy, Wales 2008-2009 Supported and taught students in a large public secondary school, both individually and in whole classes, during teacher absence.

Assistant, then Associate Editor, Ms. Magazine, New York, New York                     1990 – 1995 One of seven top editors of national/international feminist magazine. Chief writer of international news briefs section. Chief editor of religion department. Also associate copy editor — responsible for grammar and syntax of 100 pages of text per issue. Wrote up to 10 original stories per edition.
